Watch Out: What Robot Vacuum Deals Is Taking Over And What Can We Do About It

Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

Now is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's best-rated models will be on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts as high as 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its biggest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often slough through). It's the first robot to provide you with a picture of an object that it encounters, meaning you can instruct the robot to stay clear of it.

The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease while leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.

Its design is also superior to the rest and features a sleek, top piece that appears more like a toy robotic rather than a loud, loud one.  best home vacuum cleaner  is also self-emptying which will cut down your cleaning time.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it on the floor. It even managed to catch small gravel and sand that other robots couldn't do. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.

The j7+, while not as smart as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and isn't able to clean the stairs, is an excellent choice for those who need both mopping and a vacuum. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates, and it can be difficult to tell whether they're working until you actually see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your best option is probably one that is a hybrid. These machines are equipped with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. These bots also have many additional features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.

Roborock is one of our most loved robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the least expensive model of their auto-empty line. While it may not come with some of the expensive features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories), it's still a great choice if you are willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles like table legs and walls, which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture.  budget robot vacuum 's also extremely thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums fall short. The Q5+'s navigation system is also top-quality, with a few misses on walls and corners.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled via only a few buttons on your device or via the Roborock App. Through the app, you can start and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones, and modify your home map or change the labeling of rooms.

If you choose the Q5+ model, it includes a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed, emptying the bin can be accomplished easily. It also comes with a large LCD display, which is nice to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, but it can help you to keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design and functionality are among the top available - but it's also pricey.

The base station looks nice and hides it when not in use, and its size is relatively compact. The main reason to buy the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions and chores that other robots would leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water and electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to do this.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive as well. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tested that do a really good job of collecting debris from unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly in the area of navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs. This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It also can't climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who want a vacuum robot that can do it all.

But if you want to save some money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robotic there are many alternatives available, including a lot of eufy models priced significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive and has more features, such as stairs and a fully-function Dock, that provides an improved overall experience when vacuuming on floors that are unfinished, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of creating robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors as well as carpets and mopping function too at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set it up, just connect one of the side brush and then turn it on. Then connect the charging dock. The app guides you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be located near an outlet and have plenty of room to move.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise and can be tucked away under couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious compared to some rival models. It is sleek with a black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral pattern over two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The most important aspect that sets the G30 above the rest is the way it cleans. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of the immovable objects in its path and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning where it left off.

The eufy G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better built, incurs lower recurring costs, is charged faster and offers similar battery life, while providing superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It has a larger dust bin, which does not require the same amount of emptying. It also has boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 however, is more affordable and is much easier to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and it's less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
